So commercial roofing, that’s our topic. That’s always our topic. We’ve done close to maybe even over 250, uh, of these weak podcasts articles. Um, basically online radio shows where we are voicing our opinion, voicing our expertise of commercial roofing in the industry. Uh, once again, thanks for joining us. My name is Marty Grisham. I am the owner of advanced commercial systems here in commercial roofing broken arrow. And you got to know that when it comes to commercial roofing there is a very wide range of roofing systems and materials to choose from. That’s why it’s so important to have a roof or it’s going to be honest with you and it’s so important to have a roof for that knows all of these systems has used them. I remember years and years ago, um, we had a built up roof that uh, we did not know exactly where the leak was. We were there to help in commercial roofing Broken Arrow.

We knew we had to cover a pretty good size of, you know, just two squares of area would cover it. And there was a new product out and our our, our rep at the store where we are the supply store where we buy all of our roofing products, he highly, highly recommended this one product. And so we went in, it was, it was a type of asphalt emulsion and I like asphalt emulsion emulsion, but we were misled on exactly what it was supposed to do. And so we put it in this small area only to find out a week later that it was not really what it was supposed to be. And we had to come back and do the job and we never told, never told the building owner. We came back and redid the job with the right product and we were misled. But I’ll tell you I’m not, I’m not in any way unsatisfied with my supplier because it was a new product to him as well. They appreciated our help in commercial roofing Broken Arrow.

So he didn’t have any knowledge. But what I love about that experience was that we’ve gained tons of knowledge from that product because that asphalt emulsion that let us, or fiber to motion that led us on to some other products that do the same kind of thing, more of a filler than a coding. And it’s really good. It’s really great for a filler. But we gained a lot of information, a lot of product knowledge, a lot of material knowledge from that specific aspect. So at the end of the day, we didn’t make any money of the job. We had to do the job twice. And that’s perfectly fine with me because it wasn’t a huge job and that, and we learned a ton of information. We completely, from that point, this was years and years ago, we turned everything around that we were doing in repairs. We revamped the majority of the repairs that we had been doing, which were great repairs and still are holding up today. We are still learning in commercial roofing Broken Arrow every day.

But we begin to change every aspect of our repairs because we come to really, it drove us to look for the best product for repairs. And we found that product and we’re using it and we have it in our trucks right now. We have it in our warehouse right now, but it drove us to look for the best and the seek and find, do some testing in commercial roofing broken arrow. And that’s exactly what we did. We, we began to research it and study it and get more serious about, absolutely bring in only the best product to the table. And that’s what we did. And so if you’re looking for the right solution for your building, your facility, if your overall goals and your budget objectives, uh, if they’re shared with us, will be able to help you meet those. We do that every single day and it’s because of the different types of roofing systems and materials to choose from.

We, we will help you select the right system that meets your goals and your budget. So we’ll lay down variances of different things we can do. If you have a built up roof, we could probably put a mod bit on there. It depends on how much built up is there, how many layers. If you have a built up roof with just one layer, there’s a great possibility we’d be able to come in and put a TPO on top of that and create that second layer. You’re still falling within code and you’re still getting a great system that last year, 20 years or more in commercial roofing Broken Arrow.

So at the end of the day we, the state of the art, roofing equipment and materials, the latest materials that we use, um, and are highly skilled roof nerves and our roofing professionals that do the installation because of all of this put together in one package that are capable of handling any commercial roofing project. It doesn’t, does it, uh, matter the size. It doesn’t matter the complexity of the job. We’re perfectly capable of taking care of you. Um, what about architectural sheet metal? We can do it. Sheet metal, the custom fabrication of these metals and flashings, the different types of trim, the ordinate metals. We can do everything. The multiple types of materials ranging from conventional metals like aluminum, steel to the high end materials, more of a copper. And Zinc, a lead, even these metals and you can get those even in, in, in custom finishes and as well with custom colors.

Now what about built up roofing systems? Another great roofing system, uh, it has been around for a long time, is compiled of multiple layers of plies, different types of roofing place. Now on the norm that’s really normally between two and four of these plies that are adhered or there’s an adhesive or there’s an hot map, which was the hot asphalt that we use to put these I used to together and to make one system. This roofing system is many times it’s covered with a gravel of, of layer of gravel layer that is many times is also embedded in the hot asphalt. And so the good and the bad and the ugly, there’s this all found within that. Uh, I strongly suggest if you’re going to do that, if you’re going to have a balanced it’s system, try to have the gravel embedded in the head hot asphalt because it does protect the roof from people walking on.

It makes it a little stronger on the top. But I’m perfectly fine having a built up roof that is not ballasted, but they normally don’t have as long of a lifespan just because of extensive UV rays. The cracking, the alligator ing and those different aspects begin to just create leaks over time. But yeah, these, these, this roofing system, now you can’t say this roofing system isn’t great for commercial roofing broken Arrow because the built up roof has been around for almost 130 years as far back as well, how, you know, back in Europe. Um, so the system has been proven time and time again. And for this part of Oklahoma, we see a lot of these, and I work with a lot of these many times we’ll put a granulizing cap sheet on top or a coding and this can be installed over different types of roof decks and different types of installation.

So it’s a very, very, uh, variable, has a lot of variance in what we can do with the built up roofing system, especially when it comes to reroofing and recovering. And so another type of roofing system that we talked about a lot is coatings. And they’re typically used in the restaurant, uh, restorative capacity. Um, now this, the purpose of this is to prolong the lifespan of the roof and to create the existing roof lifespan to go far enough out as to where it would be financially, fiscally a great aspect for the building owner or property owner. So it’s, it’s creating, um, it’s increasing. Uh, it’s, it’s, it’s important and it’s positivity because of its capability of, of prolonging the lifespan, allowing someone if they need be to generate more finances or to get things in budget for our roofing system on new roofing system in the future.

We can roll these on. We can spray these on. We can, uh, we can mop. I’m on. There’s so many different things we can do with the coatings and we can do these on all different types of systems that we put them on Mott bit. We put them on built out, we put them on metal spray foam actually has to have these coatings in commercial roofing broken arrow. And so let’s move on to one more system today. What about lightweight concrete? You probably not even heard of that. Uh, in the industry we call it l w I C and it’s known as lightweight insulating concrete. Um, it is utilized a own, a lot of new existing facilities. It’s a new substrate, um, for a roofing system. And so whenever are in a specific situation, maybe in the bigger area of town in the city, many times you will need something along the side because the one thing about it is it’s now because of the name white wave insulated concrete, it actually provides insulating properties to the building envelope and that is a huge uh, aspect and the positive drainage that it allows is great for the roof.

Um, it’s very good. It’s very advantageous for owners and those who designed these buildings, um, because of the life cycle of the facility is promoted with sustainability. So L WIC, lightweight insulating concrete here in commercial roofing broken arrow. Now I tell you, because of the law of the buildings in broken Arrow are not too old. You don’t see it as much here. But if you go downtown Tulsa, I’ve been on quite a few of the l l WIC roofing systems and they’re great systems. And they’re easy to work on. They’re easy to fix, sometimes a little challenging to find the repairs and areas, but yeah, we definitely have had a lot of success and making these refund systems, uh, increasing the lifespan and really creating them to be a all that they should be.
